How was the bearer
of this great book? How was the character and attitude of this great man? Quran
gives us the answer of these questions in very different manner, it doesn’t made
piles in his applause and praise, nor did it make it the topic of permanent
discussion. It slightly finger points the shades of morality of Prophet Mohammad
(SAW) by reading that one can easily judge that His personality was combination
of high moral and pious personality.
1.High
Morality: Quran tells us
that her bearer was at the top of morality and high character.
and surely you are
exalted to a high and noble character. (68:4)
2. Resolute: It tells us
that bearer of this great book was such a determinant, honest, resolute person
who stood firm in each circumstances so that his nation was ready to sacrifice
her life for him. When he was forced to take refuge in a cave with only one of
his faithful companion, he didn’t think to give in, in such hard circumstances.
It will matter
little if you do not help the Prophet, for Allah surely helped him when the
unbelievers drove him out of him home and he was but one of the two when they
were in the cave, and when he said to his companion: 'Do not grieve. Allah is
with us.'(9:40)
3. Friend of his
enemies: This book
tells that the he was open hearted and a generous man, who even asked for
forgiveness for those who want to take his life, and Allah has to declare that
there is no mercy for these infidels.
(O Prophet!) It is the same
whether or no you ask for their forgiveness. Even if you were to ask for
forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah shall not forgive them. (9:80)
4. Soft and Kind:
It tells us that
its bearer was very soft and kind in his nature, he never behaved harshly with
any one, that’s why every one loves him
5. Fire For
Dawah ( Inviting people toward Islam):
It ells us
that he kept real thirst to bring the humanity toward Allah and right path, and
when they
turned a
deaf ear toward his call (dawah) his soul was hurt. He had the pain of his
nation and was melting in grieve.
(O Muhammad!): If they do not
believe in this message, you will perhaps torment yourself to death with grief,
sorrowing over them. (18:6)
6. Greedy for goodness and
virtues: It tells us that he loved his
ummah and greedy for her goodness, became grieved on its suffering and
losses. He himself was a blessing for ummah.
There has come to you a
Messenger of Allah from amongst yourselves; one who grieves at you suffering
losses, who is ardently desirous of you welfare, and who is tender and merciful
to those that believe. (9:128)
7. Blessing
for All Ages and all humanity:
It tells us that he was not
only blessing of Allah for his nation and age but for all ages and worlds.
We have sent you forth as a
mercy to all men of the world (21:107)
-
Abstinence and Provocation:
It tells us that her bearer stood whole night in invocation and supplication
of Allah.
O Prophet, your Lord knows that you sometimes stand in the. Prayer nearly
two-thirds of the night and sometimes half the night, and sometimes
one-third of the night, and so does a group of your Companions. (73:20)
-
Truthful and resolute:
It tells us
that he was a righteous and truthful man, he never missed the right path nor
false thinking ever caught him. He never followed false temptations of his nafs
(self) nor he uttered a single word against right path.
Your
compation is neither gone astray nor deluded. He does not speak of his own
desire (53:2-3)
-
Perfect Model:
It tells us that he was perfect model of his teaching for all ages. His life
was the standard of virtue and goodness.
There was indeed the
best model for you in the Messenger of Allah. (33:21)
When some
one read Quran some more qualities of bearer of Quran reveals, but this small
essay cannot cover all these characteristics. Any one who will read Quran he
himself observes that unlike other revealed books Quran presents its bestow in
very clear, pure and unambiguous manner. It has no color of divinity is seems.
It doesn’t exaggerate or boast in praising him, nor super natural forces are
associated with him, nor he was made co-worker of Allah in governing this world
nor such qualities associated with prophet, which are against the status and
position of a preacher and dawah man. If all books from Islamic literature would
be vanished from the earth and only Quran would be left then also no confusion,
doubt or wrong following will occur. We can easily be judged that transmitter of
this book was a perfect man,who bears perfect model of morality, it testified
previous prophets. He was not initiator of new religion nor did he claim to have
super human status. His dawah was for all ages and all part of the world.
He was assigned some duties from his creator and when he fulfilled his duties
then the chain of prophet hood was broken. |
